Chris is a New Zealander by birth, a Canadian by choice. She qualified with a Diploma in Physiotherapy in 1976 from the Auckland Technical institute, and 7 years later graduated from UBC with a BSR(PT). In the same year, she earned an ATCL Diploma in piano teaching. In 2015, Chris renewed her licence to practice Physiotherapy through the U of A Bridging Program. She has worked in NZ, Australia, Hong Kong, Cambodia and Canada with extended periods away from clinical practice to take care of elderly relatives and to raise 3 children whom she home educated. Those children are now university students, so Chris has returned to work to exercise her passion in helping her clients achieve their fullest potential.
If not surrounded by her books, playing her piano or attending CPO concerts with her girls, Chris is happiest outside in her bare feet, checking on her plants and trees. She loves to hike, but desperately misses swimming in the ocean. House rules recently instituted by her husband and children state that Chris is not allowed to buy any more books until she has written some and her son is refusing to use his engineering skills to assemble any more bookcases in the meantime.
