Eileen Wei

REGISTERED ACUPUNCTURIST, TRADITIONAL CHINESE MEDICINE DOCTOR, MEng

Dr. Eileen Wei has a unique background covering both advanced information technology and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). She holds a Master’s degree in Engineering, and has worked as a software engineer in major companies including Nortel and Intel. She studied acupuncture and Chinese Medicine with recognized TCM masters from China and US, and is a Registered Acupuncturist with the College of Acupuncturist of Alberta.

Traditional Chinese Medicine focuses on activating the body’s self-healing ability, encouraging a harmonious and balanced life. As the patient’s health improves, it is often possible to reduce medications under proper medical supervision.

Conditions which Eileen has helped with include:

Mental/emotional disorders
Digestive disorders
Palpitation, chest pain/tightness
Hypertension
Skin issues

With patients’ best interests at heart, Eileen focuses on providing individualized treatment, encouraging self-care through diet, exercise and lifestyle. She is loved by her patients for her gentle, caring approach and positive encouragement to healthy living. She speaks English, Mandarin, and Cantonese languages.

Eileen cares deeply about the environment and is committed to a simple, organic lifestyle. Through many years of dedicated practice of yoga and meditation she has found great peace and joy, which she seeks to share with her patients. She is a mother of three wonderful children and a sponsor of five baby elephants in Kenya — an extended family indeed! Inspired to make the world a better place, she seeks to help everyone she encounters become healthier and happier.
