Dr Erick received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, ON.
He also achieved a number of certifications including:
Applied Kinesiology course from the International College of Applied Kinesiology with Dr. David Leaf,
Koren specific Technique training with Dr. Tedd Koren,
Counterstrain: proprioceptive re-education with Dr George B. Roth (Wellness institute),
Craniosacral Therapy with the Upledger Institute.
Dr Erick gained experience in his field over the years.
The approaches he uses can help patients with biomechanical, postural, stress/emotional and functional visceral problems when related to muscular function or postural changes.
“By combining Applied Kinesiology and Koren Specific technique, patients of any age can be helped. Koren Specific technique’s method of evaluating and the use of the Arthrostim adjusting instrument allow us to do safe and efficient very low force adjustments. Koren Specific technique also allows us to adjust while sitting, standing which also allows us to safely adjust pregnant patients through any stage of their pregnancy.” Koren Specific technique allows to adjust in the position that recreates the symptoms which often makes a difference.
Dr Erick says he became a chiropractor because he experienced the benefits of chiropractic as a patient: “My mother who is a nurse brought me to our family chiropractor after I had fallen on my head in the physical education class in school in Grade 6. “I was amazed that chiropractors could heal people with their hands alone.” 'I also suffered from a major motor vehicle accident in my late 20's and enjoyed continuing to benefit from regular chiropractic care over the years." Nutrition and helping people with natural methods without drugs or surgeries are what make me passionate about chiropractic. Being self-employed was also appealing.
“Chiropractic combined everything I liked so Chiropractic seemed like the natural choice for me,”
When he is not working, Dr Erick enjoys spending time with his family, especially sightseeing in the outdoors as well as activities like swimming, walking, hiking and studying aikido.
