Hi, this is Dr. Eileen Wei. I’m a registered acupuncturist and traditional Chinese medicine doctor from Nose Creek Physiotherapy.
As the weather is getting cold now, I would like to tell you about a simple tea recipe, which is a perfect cold-weather drink. It’s very simple; there are only two ingredients: ginger and cinnamon.
You just need to put some ginger and some cinnamon into hot water and boil them for 5 to 10 minutes. Then you can pour the water into an insulated water bottle and drink it throughout the day as a warming winter drink. And it tastes really good, too.
So who is this tea recipe good for?
So if you are someone who has cold hands and feet, or if you generally feel cold, or if you’re someone who catches cold easily, or if you tend to have loose stools/diarrhea, this hot drink is very good for you. It warms the internal organs, promotes circulation, and boosts immunity.
So if you don’t want to make it yourself, you can buy tea bags with these ingredients from grocery stores. Though some of the tea bags might have other ingredients such as condiments or cloves, etc. Those are also very good spies to add into this tea recipe as well as a few cups of water.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach me at 403-778-0528, or if you have any health concerns that you’re wondering if it can be helped by acupuncture and Chinese medicine, you’re welcome to book a free discovery session with me.
I’ll be happy to chat with you one-on-one about your health concerns.
